Banner on the rink wall: Skateland, 50 years of skating, 1962–2012, Bob and June Styer, founders.

Since 1962

Same maple floor.
New generation on it.

Bob and June Styer opened Skateland in 1962. A banner on the wall marks the fifty-year mark: "Thanks for skating with us!" from the Jacobs, Waring and Styer families.

People who skated here as kids now bring their own: the disco ball, the confetti-carpet rail walls and the rope lights over the floor are all still in place.
